Angélique “Angel” Gravely is a bisexual educator, writer, speaker, and advocate based in the Philadelphia area. Since 2013, she has worked to bridge opportunity and knowledge gaps between marginalized and privileged communities by addressing LGBTQ+ issues from an intersectional lens. Her multifaceted work has included writing for nationally-recognized LGBTQ+ blogs, speaking at universities in the Philadelphia area, and serving as part of the board of GLSEN Philly to support LGBTQ+ students and staff in the School District of Philadelphia.
Her areas of expertise include:
- Bisexual+ experiences and history
- LGBTQ+ issues in Christianity
- Black LGBTQ+ narratives
- Resources for LGBTQ+ K-12 and college students
- And the intersections of all these issues!
She is currently pursuing an M.Ed. in Counselor Education and Human Sexuality Studies from Widener University and PA K-12 School Counseling Certification. She obtained her B.A. and her passion for this work from Eastern University.
