
Angélique “Angel” Gravely is a bisexual educator, writer, speaker, and advocate based in the Philadelphia area. For the past decade, she has worked to bridge opportunity and knowledge gaps between marginalized and privileged communities by addressing LGBTQ+ issues from an intersectional lens. Her multifaceted work has included presenting at national and regional conferences, writing for nationally-recognized LGBTQ+ publications, and facilitating LGBTQ-focused professional development training for educators working in K-12 schools.
Her areas of expertise include:
- Increasing bisexual+ awareness, competency, and inclusion
- Supporting LGBTQ+ students and families in K-12 schools
- Increasing SGL/LGBTQ+ inclusion and affirmation in Christian (particularly Black Church) settings
Angel holds a M.Ed. in Counselor Education and Human Sexuality Studies from Widener University and a B.A. from Eastern University, where she gained her passion for this work. She is also passionate about ensuring all students in K-12 schools thrive and consequently works as a school counselor in her local school district.
